Thank you. I have been looking for movies like this for a while...it's like they've abandoned them...and I am glad someone went out on a limb and did ..SOMETHING. I can't wait to see this too!

If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

Have you seen it or is this just your high hopes? Hate to disappoint, but it's p!ss poor. I was hoping for the weird messed up hilarity of something like The Taint or Hanger, but it's nothing of the sort :-(

I was considering watching this movie this evening... Is it really that bad?? In general, what turned you off from it?

reply

It's weird, it makes little sense and the ending is unsatisfying. Natasha is very watchable but it all goes nowhere.

reply

Just finished watching it.. Natasha was actually pretty good in this, Sevigny was typical Chloe, but the movie really went nowhere, and answers very little.. Natasha smokes a lot in this film, like literally doesn't stop smoking lol..

The plot is none existent. Despite some decent acting performances, the plot literally feels made up as it went along. Like they just decided each day what they were gonna do, and tried to make it sort of link with the previous day. The practical monster fx at the end are decent, but that's a few scant minutes, with some very long, boring and tedious scenes leading up to it. All the characters are a55holes also, which doesn't help. It turns into a complete comedic farce by the end. I lol'd a few times in the end scene, but then felt peeved off, cos' the ending wasn't worth all the tedium leading up to it.

isn't that how most movies are?

reply

The mediocre ones I suppose. It isn't a bad film, I think it was just missold as a body shocker.

reply

I loved it!

Visually, it owes a debt to early David Cronenberg. ANTIBIRTH shares Cronenberg's celebration of all that's repellant and loathsome.

And the script recalls the work of the demented fiction of JG Ballard.

Free to those that can afford it, very expensive to those that can't
