Thoughts on Trailer

I realize the movie may or may not be out at this point, but I recently saw the trailer for this and I was impressed. Even more so by Bill Engvall's role, and what was revealed, especially after knowing his 'Blue Collar' self. It was totally unexpected and impressive.

I really liked 'The Collector' films and hope that this one is on the same level.

I was thinking the same about Engvall, in fact, I had to double check that it was the same guy I was thinking! Very effective trailer & looks like he plays the "villain" quite well. Definitely like to see more in the future with him in roles like this. Although, I should probably see the movie first before I get too ahead of myself!

I rented the movie digitally a day or two after it was released on Sept. 6th. it has a different feel than The Collector or The Collection, but it is a bit more polished than both films.

I felt they developed Josh's character well, but Bill's character and his son's characters were a little under-developed. Bill really has some acting chops as his performance was very convincing.

All in all it was a solid effort that was worth the price of the rental and should be seen by fans of Dunstan and Melton.

I got about 40mins into the movie when I turned it off, only because I was tired and I started it late, but I was REALLY impressed with Engvall's skills as an actor, too! And at that point, he wasn't in it much, but enough for me to see what he's capable of. Listen, I'm not a fan of the red neck comedy schtick he & his homies do, but he's apparently well-rounded in his abilities. Not saying the comedy is below me, it's just simply not my thing, but I am open enough to give propers when propers are due!

I look forward to finishing this film & possibly moving onto the Collector series one of these days!

That's okay I really am not either. I have seen a few of Ron White's specials and they are funny as he's not really that way on the tour. Never watched Bill's TV show either. I mainly just watched this to see what Dunstan and Melton were up to.

I hope you enjoy The Collector/Collection. Josh Stewart really shines in those films and The Collection has a very satisfying ending to it.
