Second half is pretty great but...

The first half is really unfocused and way too much time is spent on the uninteresting drug trafficking subplot. I wanted to know even more about the villains because they're by far the most interesting part of the entire thing.

Is josh the hero or is his girlfriend in the movie

Hello Daddy. Hello Mom. I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-Cherry Bomb!

Josh.

Both were.. He saved her, then she saved him.. What I'm more mad about is, they set him up to be A Combat veteran, then really did nothing with it.

reply

Not really because if it weren't for the mention of his military service I wouldn't have bought into what his character was capable of during the film. He was calm under severe stress and able to plan and rationalize things and take action accordingly, would have been a bit of a stretch for just some random drug dealer.

They used it to show him field dressing that gunshot wound and sewing it up quick in the start of the film, establishing his capabilities.

Yeah, you're right man.. I guess I thought we were about to witness A Sniper vs Sniper thing, and well you know the end result.. I'm A Combat veteran myself, and everything he did was within the realm of possibility for what he was trained for..

reply

He didn't really do anything a normal dude can't do.
