Is there a lot of torture?

Does this have a lot of torture?

reply

No... There was really none at all, tbh.. It's not what you think it is, it's more of a thriller, than horror..

Ok thx i prefer thriller/suspense type horror than torture genre.

Well, then you should quite enjoy this movie, as I did.

While I do like The Collector movies, and find especially the first to be one of the top horror films of the last decade(I mean it truly delivered the thrills, the scares, and the gross-out-gore), I did however find myself on more than one occasion having to force myself to look away due to the extreme discomfort I felt during that first viewing of "The Collector".

But this film, "The Neighbor" is definitely more tame and much more of a tense thriller, rather than an all out horror film. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it sounds as though you, too, may be one who enjoys it as well.. Watch it if you haven't already!

Just wanted to thank those of you who answered this question without spoiling anything. I've really not been in the mood for graphic violence/torture lately. No one's listed anything in the Parent's Guide (where I usually check to see if there's much torture-type stuff), so I've been nervous about pulling the trigger on this one.

Now, would someone be willing (in spoiler text, of course!) to tell me if the ending is generally uplifting or generally kind of a downer? I'm not afraid to admit that I'm not really in the mood right now for movies where the killer wins or where the main character dies (even if in the process of saving someone).
