So has he basically been typecast as a criminal with a conscience who becomes a hero? That was his exact role in Collector, and now this.

Well considering it's from the same directors as The Collector & The Collected, I assume they were fine casting him in a role that he already exceeded at.

Totally agree. His role in this was identical to that of Arkin in the other two movies. Even the "neighbour" in question had numerous similarities with The Collector character.

Makes me think why they didn't do the third collector film instead. ?. I mean the budget couldn't have been any more than The Collection.
