But the execution is awful. It's race baiting from all angles. The worst kind of humor there is. It's a circlefest of reinforcement. Every joke contains an underlying context of moral condemnation and condescension. "This is what WE believe, now let's mock the unbelievers in our world view."

Bud and Ernesto are each so one-dimensional that they seem caricatures not of the immigration issues but of a liberal, and very limited view, of the immigration issue.
The show is satirizing smug, middle-class white folks who resent any threat to their status quo, but the only viewpoints presented... are those of smug, middle-class white folks and smug, middle-class liberals who resent the white folks' resentment.
Show would have made more sense if it was the Gonzalez family as the lead family and the white Americans as the worthless excuse for humans as the next door neighbors. El Coyote as Ernesto's half brother, who escapes Bud to see his family in Mexifornia.
