Why do people say this show is racist?

I don't see it. Bud's ignorance and contempt for Mexicans is always depicted in a negative light, while Bud who is Mexican is pretty much the rolemodel of the show. If anything, this show is the complete opposite of racism and strongly criticizes the militant nature of the immigration agency.

I don't think the show is very good, the jokes are often poor. But I appreciate what it's trying to do.

Some people say it's racist against whites... but the whites on the show are complete stereotypes of a subculture which happens to be mostly white. If all white people were that dumb and trashy, the USA wouldn't exist any longer. Same goes for the Mexican stereotypes which are of a subculture of Mexican immigrant culture.
