Annabelle Wallis Carried This

Poss Spoilers...

I feel this movie was about average for the genre...I gave it a "six", would have given it a "five", but thought Wallis raised this film a bit.

She brought a lot of presence and craft in, helped the audience to get invested in the goings on. The husband was a rather bland stereotype, the black lady's role was predictable. btw, how would they ever end these possession movies if the characters lived on the ground floor?

Anyway, there was a lot of predictability in the plot, but Wallis kept me watching. A good actress, IMHO.

I agree, she was very good, beautiful as well.

Hard to really say. I thought she was pretty boring and uncharismatic, but it could just be that the character is so badly written.

For instance, the cop comes over and she's asking him whether the killers were 'satanic'. Next thing you know she's telling him she doesn't want to know anything if it isn't for her safety.

Her motivations flip-flop all over the place and there's no reason for the audience to root for her. She just comes across unhinged, helpless, and dull.
