Addicts love pain if pain is what gets them RX

By the time someone reaches professional level in football they're brains are already rotting. Then athletes want to sue the PA because they had too many concussions because it's our fault they couldn't choose another line of work. They just had to collide with a 400 pound lineman on a weekly basis for 10 years. The same athletes who walk around like they're *beep* gods when things are going great. But, then they retire and expect their every need to be catered to. Call me cruel but if they're brains were worth a damn they wouldn't be playing football.

So what does that say about the millions who watch them play religiously?

Doesn't even click. I don't consider people that need entertainment or something to do in order to keep from going insane to be the selfless type.

First. Who's blaming you? Second, who's asking for their every need to be catered to? Here's the thing. The NFL hid findings and assured the players that they were safe. Just because a line of work is risky, does it mean they shouldn't institute safety precautions. For example. Space travel is an insanely risky line of work, but they still try every attempt to make it safe as possible. The NFL owners make BILLIONS off of these players. The fans enjoy the sport. At least they can expect to be safe on the field and taken care of once they retire from the game.

The game is going to injure the player regardless though. The NFL can only do so much to protect the players. It isn't blitz the league every Sunday for 16 weeks. But, the problem could've been corrected and players are avoiding head trauma.
