Football is a great game, but too violent

Fact is Football even now with their "concussion" policy needs a major overhaul. This idea that it has to project "manliness" a "tough guy" attitude is patently laughable. Its time to start taking a look at outright banning all hard collisions in football. Too bad if you think it "pussifies" the game. Its not about you its about the players who are dying in droves because the league only cares about their billions.

Or Liberal etc...

It's a fact. The sport is violent. Modern day gladiators. Set up to make the owners BILLIONS of dollars and satisfy the bloodthirsty crowds.

Oh dear OH Dear OH DEAR! Yesh, football is MUCH TOO VIOLENT! We, as a socialist socshiety, MUST protect EVERYONE!

reply

It's beyond "pussifying" it It wouldn't be football. Explaoin how you could possibly have a football game without collisions. Something does need to be done, but banning collisions is impossible it wouldn't be remotely the same game.

People would adapt, especially due to the relentlessly short attention spans people have in today's world.

Just look at boxing, people thought it would be ruined when they outlawed rabbit punching (hitting behind the head) and kidney punching. Not the case at all, and that's not even getting into what many said about pay-per-view when it first premiered.

reply

It's not going to matter because the game will be about as popular as boxing within the next 20 years. Eventually insurance premiums for any football organization will be so high people won't be interested.
