Anyone watching Jessica Jones and/or Daredevil Season 2 to prepare?

I'm rewatching one episode of Jessica Jones per day until I finish season one. For the three days after that, I'll watch the three episodes of Daredevil season 2 that deal with Claire Temple as all the stuff with Claire is supposed to overlap with Luke Cage. The idea is to finish all of these episodes by September 29th, so I can start watching Cage on Sept. 30th.

Anyone else doing this?

Daredevil season 1 is the only series that has re-watch value for me.
And all of these are designed to be highly independent.
Luke Cage will have as much to do with Jessica Jones as Jessica had to do with Daredevil. That is little to nothing.

It's more to have a refresher when it comes to Jessica Jones. I had forgotten 99% of what happened with Luke's wife, for instance.

I have already rewatched DD season 2. It actually fits together better after a second watch. Give it a shot. Since the Claire stuff is supposed to overlap, I thought I'd watch those episodes to see if I could get any hints.

Admittedly DD SE1 really spoiled me.
Vincent D'Onofrio/Wilson Fisk
Toby Leonard Moore/James Wesley
Vondie Curtis-Hall/Ben Urich
Bob Gunton/Leland Owlsley
Ayelet Zurer/Vanessa Marianna

Daredevil just as a straight drama (no Daredevil) would have been great
I'm hoping Luke Cage will return the story depth and character arcs and range I fell in love with.
I'm reading good things about Misty Knight and Cottonmouth so I'm happy so far.

No I haven't been. But I really should re-watch them.

I especially would like to re-watch Daredevil season 1 to see if it was really as boring as I remember it.
I need to take out a stopwatch and click it on whenever the scene is just 2 characters talking to one another. If there is action, more than 2 characters, or less than 2 characters, I will not time it.

I swear its going to be over 3/4th of the season. The whole season was "the two people talking to each other" show.

Have you ever noticed that the people who say "DC is for adults and Marvel is for kids", are kids?

is Jessica Jones worth watching?

from what i've read about it it seems like a show tailored to women.

reply

It is probably geared more toward a female audience, yes. It's still enjoyable, imo.

reply

I assure you only morons are telling you this. Jessica Jones is geared towards people who like good shows, regardless of gender.
