I watched Jessica Jones but haven't watched Daredevil

Is it a must see before watching Luke Cage come Friday and the upcoming weekend

We meet the Claire Temple character there, and her most recent development in life happens there.
A minor character, Turk Barrett is from Daredevil too.
They might make references to big things like the Punisher too or general events.
Otherwise I don't think there's any big connective tissues, unless they've kept them secret.

Daredevil and Jessica Jones are irreverent.
These shows are highly independent. The shows are mere Easter eggs to each other.
How much really was knowledge of the Daredevil series needed for Jessica Jones?
One reviewer said she was expecting a continuation of the Jessica Jones series and initially slightly upset at how irreverent past events were. But she came realize this is a different show.
Another reviewer said you will be totally fine if you don't know anything about Jessica Jones.
So if Jessica Jones mean this little to Luke Cage, I really doubt Daredevil will mean anything at all.

You skipped the better series by not watching Daredevil. The best part about Jessica Jones was Killgrave hands down.

I wasn't excited about Luke Cage until I saw Ali was the villain. I've yet to see that guy in a role I didn't like him in. Went from meh to excited just from that.

Characters like Claire Temple and Jeri Hogarth appear in the different shows. You should watch Daredevil. It's totally worth the watch.

You should watch Daredevil simply because it's good, but you don't have to in order to enjoy this one.

No, but you should watch Daredevil because it was very good.
