Don't hate it, but it's increasingly annoying....

I like this show enough to have watched up to E12 so far and generally I don't agree with the main points of criticism that it has received or their severity...but the one problem I have is that the soap opera-level melodrama is becoming increasingly annoying. I really hope The Defenders cuts down on that and just gives us some action and strong characters who actually finish off what they start, the whole "we can't kill him/her, it means we're no better than they are" schtick is becoming very predictable and tiresome. First with Gao, then Bakuto.

Spoiler warning: Case in point, in E12 the three of them have Bakuto pinned down in the rain and ready to be killed, surprise surprise they won't do it (or at least Iron Fist won't AND after one of them finally pulls their finger out'a they asses and actually does something pro-active, they don't make sure that they have done a proper job) and predicatbly they all totally take their eyes off him to get involved in an inter-personal fight giving Bakuto the chance to slip off, what a surprise that was, NOT.

If Iron Fist, "The sworn enemy of The Hand", is not gong to kill THE (or at least a very high-up) leader of The Hand when it's offered on a plate then WTF is the point in any of it, really? It just means this situation is predictably going to come up again, and again, and again.....yawn. Danny Still wrestling with his conscience is just getting boring, by EP 12 we should be seeing some decisive ACTION.

Get The Punisher in for Defenders, and make him tough, that's all I can say!

Idk. A big part of Danny's character is his innocence, him running around killing people would kind of ruin it. I like him not killing, it would feel weird if he did.
