Never out of racist propaganda movie budget, uh?

Unoriginal (an actual remake of an old TV serie), badly written, acted and scripted, boring and annoying...yet it's the same racist propaganda, war propaganda and police state propaganda ("The Greater Good" aka give away your rights and freedom for a false sense of security...) with the same cliché heroes, stereotypical bad guys and cliché scenario.

Screw this movie.

Agreed

This movie was horse *beep*

reply

Yeah, everything's racist to those with an chip on their shoulder the size of a plank and an IQ smaller than their show size.

reply

Yeah, because *beep* black people, brown people or other minority, racism doesn't exist because you don't see it since you're white, so as the Bell Curve says it's probably due to "smaller IQ" which makes an argument way more convenient than having to face the fact you're a racist piece of *beep* until in the inevitable future we go out and hunt every last one of you to stop the repeating historical comedy.

reply

...or you're a whiny grown child and it's more convenient to blame others (whites, society, "the Jews") for your situation than to take responsibility for your own life and fix it.

Also, you talk tough, but do you really think it's a good idea to start a race war with the whole white race? If they're as evil as you think, they'll crush you with no more conscience than you'd crush a bug. Remember: they invented the current military technology and they'll use it if you make it a question of survival

reply

P.S., Curse you for making me (sorta) defend this awful, ridiculous show and this (presumably) equally awful, ridiculous movie.

reply

well roots was very racist too!

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

reply

Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but I worked for a large government agency for many years and I can tell you without any doubt the entirety of government is racist against white people. I'm sure that doesn't fit your victim narrative, but it's true.

reply

Governments are not racist. They hate EVERYBODY.

Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!

reply

Have you actually seen the movie? Because from your description I doubt that.

reply

How, exactly, is making a film about Islamist radicals planning a coup on a large Western city 'racism'.
NO, it's only damn good entertainment to fictionalize (sic) an imminent extremist attempt on the sining (sic) non-extremist...
Remember this movie is fiction. Remember that it's aim is to create entertainment. If you cannot see this, you are either blind or terribly simple minded.

OP: There never seems to be a lack of budget to attack the defenceless in the Middle East by some radicalized groups, is there?? Not to sound racist.

Good question.

reply

Of course it's based on an old television drama - it's following on from the television series Spooks which ran for ten years and ended in 2011.

Why the eff does everything have to come down to "racism"?
The television series dealt with all kinds of terrorists - right wing extremists, those who blow up abortion clinics, the Russian mafia, the mob, western people traffickers...not just Muslim extremists.

American, are you?

reply

I remembered one episode where one of the bad guys was a Church of England bishop!

reply

Well it's based on the TV show not a remake.

It was pretty crap though. Plot and everything, bad and unrealistic.

Unsure how it's racist to have the antagonist an Islamist terrorist.

I assumed Greater Good actually refers to the end scenario where Harry (and ultimately his colleagues) chooses a small number of MI5 deaths versus a large number of public deaths. Not what you have suggested.

The TV show was much better, at least the early seasons (I stopped watching).
