He wasn't abused


Keith Jesperson, the real Happy Face Killer didn't have an abusive childhood. Would have been interesting if they gone with that instead of using the tired old "he was abused as a child" gimmick that every serial killer movie uses. It makes it more surprising/interesting that he had a happy childhood yet became a killer, I think.

What source are you basing that on that no abuse occurred?

According to the author Jack Olsen who wrote a book on Jesperson, Olsen was able to confirm much of the abuse claims.

Just the documentaries I watched. I'll have to look up the book by Olsen though, I'm just going by what I heard/watched. I've never read the book.

So in the book does it mention anything about him wanting to be a Mounty? B/c I personally never heard of that until the movie...
