What's everyone's issue? Loved it!

I don't understand what everyone has to complain about with this film. It was great! It delivered in most of the good qualities of horror movies. The acting was a bit much at times, BUUUT once you get past the actors and concentrate on the story and the characters themselves, it's easier to fall in love with this horror movie. Personally, I want to see a sequel. It just sucks that even if they do make a sequel, Kane Hodder won't return...his death scene in the movie really got to me! If legendary Kane Hodder (Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th and Victor Crowley from Hatchet) can't defeat Charlie, then perhaps we've found the new slasher king...definite potential!!

I liked it, after having watched Lost After Dark (what a piece of crap that was) it was good to see a real monster of a killer instead of some homeless looking dude.

I liked it alot too. Obviously it was nothing ground breaking or new, but it was pretty entertaining, and I love Tara Reid, so that was a plus. Also, the director said he intended to make a franchise of atleast four films for this, so I'm kind of excited for that :)

It's not bad at all, typical low budget, fun campy horror. Idk what ppl expected. I mean yeah it's not going to win any Oscars.

This comment will contain spoilers for those who have not seen the movie. My main issue is that it took an entire hour for it to pick up. It was terribly slow. Too damn slow! I was losing interest. All of the characters were annoying. I couldn't even root for the killer because he overacted IMO. I thought all of the acting wasn't that good, but then again it's a slasher flick. I thought the writing sucked. There were scenes I was just like "that's dumb." Like in the beginning when Tara's laying out in the pool and she just happens to have her phone, like what *beep* really does that in real life? lol. And I don't think the Kane Hodder character was needed at all.

I did enjoy the death scenes. I was glad everyone died in the end. There was a decent chase scene in the end too, which I liked as well. I'm probably being too annoying myself, but if you're a horror fan it's worth a look.

Well, I don't understand why this movie has a score below five and so many crap movies, at least ten times worse than this one are frequently rated 5ish. Charlie's Farm wasn't groundbreaking but it sure wasn't pathetic. Granted, Tara Reid's character was too annoying and she seemed to have a sore throat throughout the movie and the Donkey character wasn't too likable either, but I thought the movie was interesting and definitely held my attention till the end. Could it have been better? For sure. Was the acting bad? Maybe. But is it a terrible piece of crap? Not by a long shot.

I guess I feel this way cuz I'm a horror movie buff and I've seen plenty of stuff much much worse than this.

A seasoned horror buff myself, I've witnessed far worse than Charlies Farm (some of the European horrors of the 80s were bad and don't get my started on the Troma movies lol)

reply

However Troma stuff is intentionally bad and ridiculous, they're so self-aware.
