HUGE missed opportunity

People want to understand this SP, especially doctors/scientists I'd expect, they had the best opportunity to study it perfectly with that guy who said it happens to him like every night no matter what he did, I wanted to see him hooked up for some tests when he fell asleep, actually witness SP from observing the sleeping person and see what happens, but nope.. no follow up with answers or studies like this that coulds help solve it for everyone, cool and spooky film but a terrible mistake there

I hear what you are saying, and I wish that this phenomena would/could be clinically studied. Unfortunately, Doctors, Professors, and Grad-students alike would not go near this subject with a 10ft pole.

They rely on alumni & government grants for their bread & butter. Proposing this study/thesis would not only be rejected for funding, but would most certainly be career suicide. Scientists will never study the "lunatic fringe", no matter how many millions of people supply anecdotal evidence. It's a real shame for progress of mankind's understanding of the "human condition".

Makes me sad.
