Topher Grace was terrific. He is underrated in these roles. He played a similar role in Predators and was great. Grace is a great a-hole. He does it really well, and his performances always elevate the movies he's in.

It's alright as a semi comedic *beep* role, but in a serious movie, it just doesn't work at all.
He was alright in Traffic, but in everything else, I can't really say he pulls of being an actor very well.
Who honestly gloats about being in charge on a 'major operation' and 'I'm getting a promotion and your face is all messed up'...Sorry, but you simply don't get to be so small minded.
Frankly, I thought he was awful in this movie -- but so was the rest of the cast. I just don't know, they all seemed so bad in this film. The whole 'CIA' aspect of the film was laughable at best and often cringe inducing.
I agree with you OP. I thought Grace was very good in this. As you and othera have noted, he's great at playing a-holes!
