Question about slave owners and their wives

I tried Googling this but all I got were wives of slave owners who also abuse male slaves. I'm just curious to know during this time in history, did slave master ever rape their own wives and not just slaves? Some masters would rape slaves to have babies to increase their stock or because they were attached to a slave, but did they ever rape their own wives who lived in the big house with them?

Probably, but in those days it would have been considered enforcing his rights as a husband. Marital rape wasn't considered a crime in any state until around the 1970s.

The bitch had to EARN her room and board, not like these days when bitches marry, then they magically own 50% (if not all) of the husband's property and future earnings.
