My theory about the Deadpool-Logan timespan (2016-2024)

Maybe, the post-apocalyptic future of DOFP was set in 2022, not 2023 as we thought. They were "rounding numbers off" when they said "50 years". Just that.

Logan changed the past in 1973, then he "came back" to the POSITIVE, altered 2022 future (note: not 2023).

This way, you get 2 YEARS and not just 1 YEAR until the events of 'LOGAN' plays out. Enough time to shake the Xavier school and get the X-Men semi-disbanded. Or Logan just left the School.

Supposedly, the "Mutant Plague" started some years after the movie 'DEADPOOL' (set in 2016), I would say 2018 or so. Or it was already active in 2010s, but it wasn't directly addressed in 'DEADPOOL' - that would also explain why they were experimenting to get superpowered soldiers.

And maybe, the power malfunctioning had already affected the Timeline Sigma Wolverine (the Logan/Wolverine who became Weapon X in "Apocalypse"), that would explain why he had white streaks on his hair even in the positive 2022.
