Hugh's latest brief interview when he was in Hollywood for the MPTF charity event hosted by George Clooney was also playfully evasive even about confirmation on the possible involvement of Mr. Sinister --

Everyone is tight-lipped...and that adds to the anxiety level of fanboys! Unlike APOCALYPSE, where we were bombarded with all types of publicity ( which eventually promised more than what the film actually delivered, sad to say)-- this movie is pinning its hopes on the director's cinematic vision, the actors's strong and memorable portrayals, and all the other elements to give us a memorable WOLVERINE sendoff movie.
What if the title is as simple as just WOLVERINE??
Maybe what they may want to give us is an elemental look at who and what this clawed mutant is all about ? Maybe hyping him too much early on is not the way to re-introduce us to the core Wolverine character ( who may actually be hiding in the early part of the movie, if suggestions from OLD MAN LOGAN is to be believed)! We may see a movie that so strikes to the core of the character that by itself the movie will be one of the best surprises in many a long time!
I am not going to get anxious anymore that the movie has not been hyped early on -- sometimes too much hype may indicate that there is something fundamentally flawed that the hype wants to gloss over. I think what James Mangold said about wanting a film that delivers in the long run is what I want to believe!
Because I don't want them to. We are working on making a good film. Plenty of time for hype soon enough. Breathe.
Be patient -- that may not sound like Wolverine himself -- but sometimes waiting for that eventual "SNIKT!" is worth all the wait
End of hype from me
PS: I agree -- we are all going to watch, very eagerly, what surprises the NY ComicCon may have in store for all of us
