shareJust looked up Dafne Keen, she's Brit-Spanish. Her British accent is lovely. It's just her American & Spanish one is hard on the ears.

Anyway, in reply to your post, Laura's voice was definitely shrill and fast-paced. I actually had trouble differentiating when she was speaking English vs Spanish.
It would teach her not to oppress me.

Wow I'm not the only one that thought that... as soon as she started jabbering in Spanish I was hoping Logan would lop her head off just to shut her up.... Weird thing was when she spoke in English her voice was lower and not nearly as annoying.
shareI think depending on the person, Spanish and Latin American dialects, in general, induce you to speak in a higher-pitched voice tone. English seems to work the other way around. My voice gets much deeper when I speak in English. At least that's how it works with me.
shareWhen Laura speaks for the first time, this is actually my favorite scene of her in the film. For me, speaking in Spanish along with the tone of her voice only enhanced her feisty disposition.
