Sequel to 'Children of Men?'

Is this a direct sequel to "Children of Men?" Anybody know?

For anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about,
Timothy Sexton wrote the screenplay for COM in 2006.

There is a clear link but I do not think it is a sequel, more like a TV adaptation of the film, with not a few changes. Timothy Sexton is one out of five screenwriters of COM and it is not even an original story, it is a based on the book of P. D. James, a sixth writing party of the film.

I was also thinking COM, after just now seeing a web ad for this series!

I believe this is an original series created by a co-writer of the similarly-themed "Children of Men" and it has nothing to do with the movie this resembles.

Wouldn't it be more like a prequel? I haven't seen Children of Men in awhile, but I thought it started off with the youngest person in the world dying. And that person was 21 years old. And in this tv show, there doesn't look like a huge break down in society. Children of Men seemed a lot more dystopian.
