I have bipolar disorder too and....

I am here to say we can be stabilized with the CORRECT medication combos. Some people have to do that by trial and error and its unfortunate long process but worth it when you find your correct dose. That is why alot of people first get meds, and that particular med isn't the best fit and they say "pills do not work" when it was just that particular med but there are so so many to consider. We all are different.
Our bodies.brains are missing those particular chemicals other people have naturally so those medications are the missing link for some. So I have a big problem with people who have the disorder who won't either go to counseling all the time or TAKE THE MEDS! Its irresponsible not only can you hurt yourself and lower your quality of life, EVERYONE ELSE DOES NOT DESERVE THE WRATH OF THE UNSTABLE!

As I know there are instances that even when on meds, we can suffer and our loved ones know that and can support us but when you know alot of the symptoms can be curbed with meds, then no one else needs to suffer your wrath.

As I do understand some of rachels impulsivity (is that a word) due to her being bipolar, its not excusing it and she needs to be dealt with kids gloves somewhat but she also needs to put on her big girl pants and DEAL WITH THIS as she can't keep getting away with this on set or on her job or in real life. So the more she does this the less I feel sorry for her.

again, yes rachel needs to be PUT IN HER PLACE but i am in no way condoning or liking Jeremy and what he did. He did that for his OWN selfish reasons,he cant put his own unstable emotions IN CHECK, he is immature, and insecure and is mad because Rachel isn't all about him. Jeremy is a scumbag and uses her illness AGAINST HER if he really loved her he would rally around her and support and just "be there" as a friend and not try to let his messed up agenda ruin it.

I thought Rachel had some other mental illness like borderline personality disorder not bipolar.

reply

Yeah, Rachel is closer to something like Borderline. MAybe even clinical depression thrown in too. I don't think she's bipolar since she hasn't shown any manic highs like Mary has

reply

Rachel definitely has something... but after tonight, finding out about her mother not only covering up that Rachel was raped by one of her patients, but blaming Rachel for being raped, prescribing a bunch of medicines to keep her quiet, telling her nobody will love her if they know what happened... I take her previous diagnosis's with a grain of salt.

Wasn't her previous diagnosis also from her sociopath mother?

reply

But Rachel's not bipolar; she's being overmedicated by her mother so that she'll either keep her mouth shut about what happened to her or to make her look so crazy that nobody'll believe her if she does tell.

Rachel's mother failed as a doctor, a mother, and a mandated reporter. She knows if it ever comes out the best she can get is to lose her license.

Throw in some "toxic shame" too...

"What are you, some kind of doomsday machine, boy?"
