Got really boring quickly

Watched "Deep Web" a few weeks back and it started very interesting about this "deep web" website "Silk road" which sold all types of hard drugs and different commerce. It is very interesting for the first 30 minutes or so and then spins out of control with this Ross Ulbricht character aka "Dead pirate Roberts" and his arrest. It gets very jumbled through all the laws and what he did or did not have a part in. If he was a part of a murder for hire or not?
Was he this big drug dealer or kingpin or not?
You basically end the story for yourself.
Not particularly good and a 6 for me. I expected some more but some may really like it.
I will say that it wasn't just a site for drug trafficking and had many other aspects but the criminal area of it is mostly what is discussed.

Deep Web was really a poor choice for this documentary. Should have just been called The Silk Road or something.

You might like "Hacker" better.

I think that you are missing the point. The trial was skewed and leaves those questions unanswered. What you are supposed to take away from this is how the "powers that be", can steamroll individuals to suit their agenda and how that ties in with the degradation of our rights to privacy and a fair trial, and the precedence that's set as a result. If that doesn't make sense, maybe somebody will come along and state it more eloquently. I don't think that the viewer should be bored, but instead indignant.

I think OP expected something more akin to Pirates of the Caribbean 5....a story in which the swashbuckling DPR sails the Silk Road, creating overall chaos for both the Deep Web, the Gubberment and society at large.

Instead they got the truth about how Ulbricbht may have been a patsy for the government in their attempts at covering up the multiple rogue agents involved in this case. OP's head of course exploded at this point.

Unless you understand law. Defense wasn't that strong. Should have revenged the judge right there for obstruction of justice in front of the jury. Also they should have hammered on evidence beyond reasonable doubt. But again that judge should have been very heavy punished because she is THE foundation of the law! Oh and bitch if you read this: I hope you get all the cancers of the world! And on top, i also hope you will be convicted for terrorism and live in a state where you can be sentenced to deathrow! You should be exampled for the whole world to see what happens if try to undermine the law as a judge! #endrant

he was caught red handed, with chat logs spanning the entire history of the site.
Nothing the defense could do.

It started out strong, sagged for a good hour or so, then just ended. I wasn't particularly interested in whether or not Ross Ulbright was a hero or a villain, but I wanted to learn more about the deep web. The "Tor" bonus feature was what I wanted from this film. 6/10 stars from me also.
