Not perfect but not bad

Solid acting, I think it had some pacing issues, it lacked consistency of tension.... but I did watch the whole thing. I felt the ending when she says she is going to go, and the kids just walk away and she leaves... I felt metaphorically it works, but there were less anti climactic ways to show the tension there that expressed the reality and the difficulty with letting go... though Krause makes up for the scene with her final scene walking out into the sun... but then it just ends and I thought... a few script missed opportunities for depth, but overall... an okay movie.

6/10

I felt about the same. A slight little thing, but enjoyable enough. With the talented cast, could have been far better. I felt the missed opportunities in the same places you did.

Still, there was something that set it apart a little bit from the standard movie with this basic plot. I'm not sure if it's Louisa, who is very charismatic, or the overall atmosphere, or what.

Well, maybe the dog helped!

"You have a morbid sense of fun." "That's probably true."

The fans of the horror genre will certainly like this movie. 9/10 from me.
