it was a mind blowingly beautiful film, well acted and directed.
i really loved it.
the set dressing, locations, propping were all very faithful to the 60s - all in all, a fantastic effort.
i did pick up on some historical and factual inaccuracies, assuming this story is set in the early 60s. but, i also understand the director may have needed to take some artistic liberties in telling the story.
overall, these inaccuracies didn't detract from my enjoyment of the film.
1.) 911 wasn't introduced as a national emergency call number until 1968 and wasn't rolled out and implemented nationally well into the 70's and 80s.
2.) during the labor scene, a pulse oximeter is shown. according to wikipedia, the commercial introduction of that device didn't occur until 1981. the model shown appears to be from the late 80s, early 90s.
3.) during the labor scene, CPR is being performed on Haley without a backboard
