Can someone explain to me why a lot of people dislike this movie?

I thought it was decent, despite the facts I could barely understand what the actors were saying and the camera was shaky in some scenes.

Because the general public prefers their protagonists to have special powers and costumes. Therefore, they're idiots.

Maybe because everyone except the kids, were reprobates. I have no problem with movies with no likeable characters, but a lot of people do.
