An intense drama with solid action sequences.

A touch of "Frozen River" (although the story was unique, the subject matter was quite similar, i.e. smuggling illegals, moral dilemmas, lives affected, etc.)

The boat cinematography on the water was great. The look remimded me of good films shot on boats/boat sets like "Jaws", "Perfect Storm", etc...

Builds slowly but there's incremental increases in tension, drama, action. Should have ended at the first natural ending.

Well-shot, well-acted. Some intense sequences, but definitely worth seeing. 9/10

(Screened at Korean Film Festival in Paris, October 28, Publicis Cinema)

One of the best Korean movies I'v seen so far. Loved the story, it was so different, and so gritty. You could almost imagine yourself on the fishing boat with the characters. I really like Park Yoo-Chun--I've enjoyed him in everything I've seen him in. Another favorite is Kim Sang-Ho, I've seen him in three different vehicles and liked all of them.

The Koreans are great at special effects, makeup/aging characters, and believable dialog.

I've just started my adventure into their films/TV shows and am looking forward to many more.
