I Never Feel Heatlhy After Eating Meat

Typically after eating a protein heavy meal (chicken, turkey, beef, bacon, etc), I always feel the urge to sit down and rest.

I don't think I've ever felt energetic after eating meat, I usually feel the opposite -- tired, lethargic, slow.

In the past year I've cut down greatly on my meat and dairy consumption. I switched to organic/grass-fed meat and dairy, but now I might just give them up entirely.

There really is no reason for a grown adult human to be consuming milk anyways.
You'll also save yourself from the nasty mucus and sinus issues that come with consuming milk products.

Even though I know milk is unhealthy, I still find myself eating ice cream and cheese quite frequently. I think this is mostly due to a physiological addiction to dairy, kind of like sugar or caffeine addiction. My own research shows that dairy is in fact addictive due to some of the chemical compounds found in dairy milk. Also, ice cream is loaded with sugar/fat so no surprise that it's addictive.

Changing your diet to become healthy can be similar in many ways to overcoming drug addiction. You go through withdrawal symptoms and cravings. You sometimes slip up and go back to your old ways.

But I'm still fighting the good fight. My goal is to be totally vegan by January 1st of 2017, and my new years resolution is to be totally vegan for an entire year.
