Sitting through this movie was like watching a sack full of retarded babies being beaten with a baseball bat. They're surrounded by dead bad guys carrying more guns than an NRA convention yet they constantly find themselves unarmed and outgunned. Why didn't the villains kill the hero when he was down and helpless in an upside down BMW? Why didn't they kill the president when they had the chance?

On top of that the ending was so American egocentric it was like a sick joke. They killed all the world leaders, but you have a happy ending anyway because the American president survived. To hell with everybody else, that's all the audience is meant care about. You don't like state funerals? There's about to be half a dozen more of them because you picked off world leaders like NPC's in a video game. I guess that will be the set up for a another, even crappier sequel.

What would you have them do, idiot? Should the world have come to a stand still for a full year? No, tell me... after the American president survived what should have happened, in your sick mind???

Why shouldn't the movie be told with American interests at it's core??? After all it's an American movie and should be made to thoroughly entertain American audiences. The rest of you that don't like that can *beep* off and go watch something else! Am I right? Sure I am. Now *beep* off!

Remember this when you're venting about Chinese Films made with Chinese agendas... You gotta love capitalism..........

Why shouldn't the movie be told with Chinese interests at it's core??? After all it's a Chinese movie and should be made to thoroughly entertain Chinese audiences. The rest of you that don't like that can *beep* off and go watch something else! Am I right? Sure I am. Now *beep* off!

****Posted after 'DC has Fallen' is released. Where a plucky Chinese operative saves the life of the Chinese Premier when DC is ravaged, POTUS is killed, Congress is bombed and the american public beg for a Communist government protect them.

You're beef isn't with me, I agree with you and would never watch a movie intended for a Chinese audience and starring chinamen and women. It should take place in China though, because London Has Fallen didn't take place in China. I hope it's not obvious that I have an English speaking bias 😉

It's an American movie made by an American company with it's primary target audience being, and this may come as a surprise to you, AMERICANS!

I sorry but after reading this, i feel the need to point this out. Bearing in mind i love America, but for you to say that because it's an American movie made by an American Company it's primary target therefore audience would be Americans, it's a load of rubbish.

This movie isn't all about America. It's audience is a far wider target than that. Majority of this film though produce by an "American Company" was mainly filmed in British locations as well as being filmed in Bulgaria.

The cast are from all corners of the world, from America, to the uk, to Australia and Israel. The hero Gerard Butler is Scottish for goodness sake.

So this may come as a "surprise" to you but it's not all about Americans.

Because they wanted to kill him publicly for the entire world to see. They made that point several times; I'm not sure how you could have missed it.

In an age when everyone has a phone with a camera, 'public' is anywhere any time.
The script writers (ha) just couldn't come up with a halfway cogent plot device.
Keep in mind the terrorists don't kill their hostage because it has to be 'live on the internet'.
Q: Why don't you kill him now.
A: No, the whole world has to see it.
It's like recording or delayed broadcasts don't exist. Sophisticated enough to shut down an entire city, incapable of pressing the record button on a camera.

It’s a contrived story that creates reasons for lots of action scenes. How this different from any other film in this genre?
