(Possible spoiler)Why did Ethan do it?

So towards the end,the Ethan character loses visual contact
with the truck he was supposed to destroy.....on purpose.

Why did he do that?

reply

Because he was done taking orders to kill without justification.

reply

there appeared to be a woman and child in the truck, presumably "innocent"... plus his doubts and moral reservations were mounting, particularly with the "double tap", killing rescuers, and the hit on the funeral...

reply

There appeared to be a woman and child in the truck(...)

My perception is that there wasn't so that's why i didn't see
the logic in his actions.

If there was indeed a woman and a child in the truck then his actions
would make sense.

reply

yeah, there was a baby and a woman in the back of that truck.

reply

Yeah, he was done taking orders as stated previously. That's the moment when he decided he was done. One last "Good Kill". And it was a good kill at that.
