Plot holes?

I'm not from the military but some things in this movie look very odd to me:
1) Even after cooperation with the CIA was agreed on, the drone operators keep arguing and questioning the CIA almost at every turn. I wonder if this is realistic. You either agree to cooperate or you don't, but this method seems like Chinese water torture
2) If what the operators are doing is considered a war crime (as the woman soldier states once), are they immune from prosecution just because they were following orders? I doubt it. So either these things don't happen, or they're not considered war crimes. Otherwise we'd be hearing about it in the media
3) How likely is it that a soldier who was demoted to "surveillance" can get access to the controls of a bomb and actually use it to strike a target?
I will be glad for any inputs from knowledgeable people. Personally I found these really hard to believe

Learn what plot hole means.

The questioning of orders was what made me not like this movie. It was preachy. Imagine how much better the movie would have been had they relied on the audience to see the moral ambiguity of what they were doing, instead of hitting us over the head with it.

1) How is that a plot hole? And I never thought the pilots' reservations were 'arguments.'

2) Not a war crime OR a plot hole
