Stewart looks unhealthy, very skinny. Is she on hard drugs again?

She does not look healthy. Her body is showing signs of heavy drug use.

Did anyone else notice this? It's a shame too... Stewart is absolutely beautiful.. if she wasn't an actress, she could be on a fashion runway somewhere. I thought Stewart said she would lay off of the experimenting and drug habit? It seems it's gotten a lot worse.

I think she looks fine 😃

She looks like she always looks. It's worth pointing out that in this society women wear their hair short, do not wear makeup, and wear bland clothing that does not show any curves at all, so that might contribute some.

Certainly she does not look like a heavy drug user to me.

What a lovely way to burn...

Having only seen her of course in recent pictures, I don't agree with you

This was an intentional look to the character.

There was meant to be 1 look, boyish hipsters. So I think the director is trying to say that in the future, the only sex available will be gay sex and everyone will look like hipster boys.

You think she was on heroin? I doubt it, she wouldn't be able to remember her lines

Her body has always been like that, she is naturally very small framed and skinny. Don't think she starves herself to look like that. What was up with her face though? She is usually without makeup in all her candid shots going about life and nowhere does she look this sickly.

This is a movie. If Kristen's face looks sickly, it is because she was made up to look sickly. Her character is suffering, so it would make sense it would show on her face.

I laughed when I read this thread. If the OP has seen Breaking Dawn part 1, he/she probably freaked out completely because at one point she looks like a cancer patient- they probably believed Kristen was actually dying in that film.

It's not how she was made to look like with the clothes, hair, no make-up, etc. but I noticed too that the skin on her face was very unhealthy. She had pimples and some sort of rash on her face which doesn't really fit into the story and the character since we see them eating healthy foods(meat and vegetables) all the time, nothing that would cause a skin condition like this in their world.

If it was intended for the character to have unhealthy skin because she was stressed wouldn't it have been a sign to the authorities that something is not OK with her? They seemed to make big deal out of everything like spilling coffee, phasing out for sec, etc. They were obsessed with health and behaviour, I'm pretty sure someone would have reported her and wouldn't have been able to live in hiding.

I'm not criticizing Kristen as everyone has them from time to time but the the person who was in charge of taking care of things like this because from the movie's point of view it's very off that in a society where they have found the cure to cancer and other now incurable diseases people would still be having mundane skin conditions like zits especially with their diets. It's not a big deal I still liked the movie but as I was watching their intimate scenes with the close-ups I kept thinking about this and was a little distracted from the story.

Her look is for the character. Never ceases to amaze me when people comment on how 'bad' someone looks in a film and infers that it's something going on with the ACTOR. They're playing a role. How they look is a part of who they're playing. Duh...

Nia was struggling to hide her emotions all day, every day, which was obviously stressing her out.

It was clear to me that the character that Kristen Stewart played wasn't sleeping properly, etc.

I didn't think of it as the actor's look, rather that was the character.
