I really wanted to like this movie too...unfortunately, there is very little to appreciate here...there is little, if any chemistry, and there are very few scenes of Heigl & Bledel together anyway... even worse, what scenes they do have are relatively short and insignificant. You are asked to accept their relationship as genuine & passionate, and between two women who really love and have cared deeply for each other for some time, but little evidence is seen that would make you believe this. The majority of the scenes and film's real focus is on Heigl's character Jenny's relationship with her parents, and in most of these scenes, she is dealing either with her mom or her dad, but rarely both together. She has known her whole life she was gay, and when she finally reveals it to them, they say they are upset at the lie she has kept from them, but more so, they are both truly just struggling to accept her lifestyle. 90% of the film is Jenny's mom and dad struggling to accept her after she comes out to them. What a waste of good potential story and talent. It could have been so much more.
