Great movie, whats wrong with people calling it bad?
I loved this movie, i think people are missing the point to it. Its about acceptance and change, and sadly still goes on all the time.
Its really sad that people have to hide their sexuality from their family and the prejudices still are there even in 2016 and the small mindedness.
The story was about a family who lived in sheltered comfy community. No one would talk about lesbians, oh unless disparaging as in DYKES comment in the movie.
The daughter was forced to live a lie and not be her true self, for fear of rejection by her parents, how sad is that.
It isnt a fast paced movie as it has a lot of emotions and feelings flying about. Even the sister realised that her life was a lie too, and changed it at the end.
He who cast the first stone as the mother told her friends in the supermarket were their family any better then hers?
I really enjoyed it, and it is part of life, and i have been privileged to have a daughter who felt comfortable enough with me to share her sexuality and I have supported her 100per cent throughout her journey. That is how it should be in families there should be no prejudices.
Good strong cast and acting was really good by everyone.
