he's superficially cute in a puppy dog "high school" way, but I find him very unsexy and it's very unrealistic that he would go for our heroine. It could be because I'm a woman in the over 40 category...does anyone else feel that way?

Well I am a 25 year old guy and I know many guys my age that love women in their 40s. Some are hot as hell. Very sexy.
As far as Josh goes, I don't think so much that he wouldn't go for her as much as she wouldn't go for him.
You see her flattered that a young, handsome guy finds her attractive and thinks she's the same age as him... that last part is partly why I think she IS attracted to him. She's just so flattered by him, and then she gets caught up in living this 20something life all over again and that makes him more appealing.
But he's not all that. And this is coming from a hetero guy, but I don't see why everyone fawns over him. Pretty generic to me.

I think he is extremely good looking. And I'm not even one to fawn over good looking celebs. However, I don't exactly love him as a love interest for Liza. I am team Charles!

And I think there's a LOT more chemistry between her & Charles because it's more than physical.
I'm with you on this one. I'm middle aged and though Josh is super hot and probably a lot of fun, Charles is the man for her.

shareI didn't care for the actor the first time I saw him in The Following, and that's carrying through to Younger. The character isn't exactly fire either. I wouldn't miss him if they wrote him out due to a breakup or for any other reason.

Can agree or disagree with comments. But I'd like to see Charles more with his shirt off. Josh seems too generic, a little immature, and that hairdo but it also nice to see him serious in a relationship. They have the chemistry but I also wonder if it's just physical and Charles and her would suit each other more.
