2.6 rating for a Sean Penn movie?
Dafuq?
Has anyone seen this movie?
I think this is a rate of Penn's political activity, his personal life, and just a grade from individual haters. In reality, once the movie will be released - it will end up with 5/10, even being disappointing. Because there is no reason for movie starring Reno, Theron and Bardem to be so bad.
Even best Penn's movies used to receive bad rates only based on individual dislike some people have
That would be no. It hasn't been released yet.The same thing happens on Amazon. People give bad reviews to movies or books they haven't seen or read all the time.
Now we can handle this like gentleman or we can get into some old gangster sh*t
People have seen it, me included... It premiered in Cannes. You can attend it with an invitation if you're on competition or even if you're on the Short Film Corner which was my case.
And honestly, and this is just my opinion, the movie is pretty terrible. I was disappointed, since I loved Into the Wild.
But again, just my opinion.
What was so bad with this film?
shareIt isn't a good film that's fine, but there's no way everyone who's rated it on imdb has seen it.Most of these ratings are based on what they've heard and their opinion of Penn.Let's not pretend that doesn't factor into it.

I think that it is very "in" to dislike Penn these days and that factored into the hatred of this film. I am not saying it is a good film because I have not seen it. But I liked the trailer and I like the cast plus I like to sometimes watch romantic melodramas. I will judge the film when I see it. But at least here in the US we will get to see it because Saban films picked it up.
Can't imdb block those inbreds who rate before the premiere.
Or even better: they don't allow ratings till then.
