Why hasn't this been released on Blu-Ray/DVD?
The movie was released in 2015. Why hasn't it seen a proper release yet? Don't get it.
Note that IMDb displays the year of a film's first screening. This could be a wide release, festival or other such premiere, etc. In this case, it's festival premiere. It's been in distribution limbo since it was bought by A24 - though it is to be released this month. I can't speak for them as to why they held on to it for so long, but I could think of a few possibilities.

Yes, I would think someone high-up at A24 who actually has good taste in films took a look at this turkey and said "we bought THIS?!!" Finally they had to throw it out on home video just to recoup some of the money they wasted on it.
