Saw a screening of this today. It was the worst, most pointless movie, perhaps ever. I left with 4 other people I didn't know, we chatted, and none of us could believe how terrible it was. I really can't imagine how anyone liked it; there was nothing to like.

Please. The movie is casual, meandering and laid back, but therein lies its charm. Maybe you needed more conflict and high stakes but that doesn't mean the grown ups in the audience weren't enjoying it. I like a big dumb action movie as much as the next guy, but this was a nice diversion and not at all bad. Calling it "pointless" and "worst ever" is ridiculously harsh.
If you hated this, I could rattle off 50 other movies of varying quality with similarly lackadaisical plots, some of them highly rated and esteemed too. Those movies found their audiences, this will too. You should avoid them at all costs though. Or visit them when you're a little older.
A lot of strange things happen in this world. Things you don't know about in Grand Rapids.
I thought it was nice, I like road movies. It was hardly the most boring movie ever.
That is the problem with letting the riffraff into see movie screenings, you just go
because someone gives you a ticket and then you whine and complain like a baby
even though you did not have to pay for it. I'm not surprised you cannot image, I'd
be surprised if you had any imagination at all. Seriously, just because you do not like
a movie, for no real reason other than it's just not your cup of tea, does not mean
everyone is going to dislike it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and didn't find it boring in the least. The friendship between the two leads felt natural and there were many quietly amusing moments. And of course, the Icelandic scenery is stunning.
It's not a movie for the car chase Transformers crowd with zero attention span!
