You can literally skip full episodes in each season & still be able to follow the storyline. It's basic & nothing different from 90s/00s dope boy movies such as Belly, Paid in Full, In Too Deep, Get Rich or Die Trying etc. with a little of Breaking Bad & The Wire thrown in there.

Really, it should have been named Ghost instead of Power. This is the 3rd season & what Power has Ghost accomplished? He's a horrible leader/husband & no one fears him or his crew. Kanan & Jukebox are the only characters worth watching.

Get it together writers, Ghost is a murdering drug lord fighting for an unattainable dream. He has to first tie up all lose ends & leave the city/country to go straight lol! These writers have him chasing side booty & residing in the same area while leaving the drug business??? Really 😒

"Empire" is like "Power" for the family, but Lucious is more hardcore than Ghost will ever be. I want James to BE HIS OWN MAN (stop relying on others Stern, Lobos, Karen). I wish Ghost had more ambition & was focusing on being mayor/senator or any position of real POWER.

WAYS POWER COULD BE BETTER:

Model Ghost around Frank Lucas (American Gangster), he was an intelligent leader, who had his own connect & doing international business while being highly respected in the neighborhood. Also, use actual American History elements from those featured in BET American Gangsters series & the Italian Mafia

Ghost & Tasha should have been like Bonnie & Clyde. Everything he's doing with Angela he can do with his wife. I'll never root for the side chick & that includes Scandal & Being Mary Jane

Angela should have been the jealous ex who's desperately trying to take Ghost down, but can't because he actually has POWER & friend's in higher places, like he can takeout Simon Stern (no need to go through his wife) & still be on the golf course with other powerful people the next day

Better characters with more range- lawyers, judges, politicians, FBI, DEA, DHS, military officers, should all be in Ghost's pocket proving his level of Power

One supporting character should be an ex undercover cop who's believed to be dead, but who really went rouge years ago who is Ghost's main connection to higher officials, judges, politicians, FBI, DEA, DHS. military officers

In the end Tommy should be revealed as being FED all along & brings down the whole operation, the ex cop catches on & warns Ghost & he & his family escapes without persecution & disappears like a GHOST

Ghost should have a chain of night clubs run be legit managers, in different cities, that way the show travels & introduces more characters & different storylines. It also leaves Ghost with time to focus on his purpose (actually leaving the drug business).

Like the character, Francisco 'Papa Fuerte' Cruz, in Netflix series "The Get Down", he has a vision of helping his community, Ghost needs some type of vision/plan.

Hell its tv, we're here for entertainment, so actually show a club manager making it while living a double life as a drug lord. I want Ghost to be Bigger, right now he's mediocre. More grit, more action, less side chick & stupid mistakes 😁

Too predictable? Never watch Law & Order: Criminal Intent then. They often show who did the crime at the start of the episode because you know, the show is about how the police closes in on the killers rather than the audience left wondering who did it. 

Why must everything be UN-predictable?

I stopped reading as soon as American Gangster was brought up. That movie was terrible. If this show started being more like that movie I would stop watching.

And you do realize that "American Gangster's" depiction of Frank Lucas was highly fabricated and sensationalized, right? The actual man, while definitely a product mover, wasn't nearly as big and bad as the movie made him out to be.

You can try to discredit Frank Lucas all you want but everything that I mentioned that I liked about his story was true.

Oh, I wasn't saying goodbye as if I were leaving; I was saying goodbye to you since you seemed to have a complete disdain for the show and its failure to live up to your expecations. I never whined once; I was actually polite to you. As it stands, however, anything you post on here becomes public domain. I can comment on whatever I like. If you have an issue with that, then might I suggest simply making use of the "ignore" feature that you can find under the "flag" section of this very post.

It won't hurt my feelings in the least. I'm here to discuss theories, not be everyone's best friend. I have enough of those already 

Thing is, bitch boy, I'm not the one who came on and whined about my dissatisfaction about a show. If I don't like a show, I don't watch it, nor do I care to discuss it. You were the one who not only complained but then came up with a laundry list as to how the show should be catered to your specific tastes. Oh, and that smell, it's coming from below your belly button. I hear Summer's Eve works wonders for that.

It's pretty much like I stated in another thread on here about a week ago: The most "Power" Ghost ever had was in the pilot episode. After that episode, he began to unravel thanks to his dreams of legitimacy and his lust for one Angela Valdez. He let the Boricua-Boom-Boom get him all caught up in teenage love and left him slipping like a muthafawka when it came to the business mastermind he once was.
Typical alpha male; he spread himself too thin and aspired for too much. He wanted the cake and to be able to eat it too... he wanted the wife and the side piece. The only thing he didn't want was the dope game... but Tasha and Tommy weren't about to let him get out without a fight... and we all know Ghost's ego is the key factor in his self-destruction.
Someone said that Ghost and Tommy brought their situation upon themselves. I agree.

Your issue (and this is my issue as well), you don't seem to realize that this show is a soap opera. It's written for women to fantasize about, same way OUTLANDER is. Once you realize it's not for you, you'll be better for it.

I'm giving it till the end of Season 3 myself and then I'm bowing out. It had tremendous potential, but it was squandered. Ah well, some of it was definitely fun to watch.

Naw man I was forced to watch Days of Our Lives with my grandma & Stefano was more of a G than Ghost is hahaha! 😁 This is just bad writing.

Calm down ResilientTrinity this show wasn't hyped, empire was hyped, this show started off small on an equaly small network, check out the original ratings, then over two seasons it has grown to a nice but nothing special total around a mil or so, I've never herd anyone say this is the best show on tv, only that it's a good show, the only person I have ever seen over hypeing this show is you.
