Didn't they already dust for prints before Angie?

Wouldn't the NYPD or FBI have already dusted the window for prints? According to MJ and her associate, it was already known that the window was unlocked and it didn't appear to be any force of entry. I find it hard to believe that they would have just ignored that and not dusted for prints. Also, how would Angie explain to them that she entered the apartment alone without anyone knowing and took it upon herself to collect those fingerprints? It just doesn't add up!

If an FBI agent was killed inside his own apartment I think there would be at least yellow crime tape sealing the door saying it was a criminal offense to break it and go inside. Especially with an unsolved murder.

It was an unauthorized entry with no witnesses and would be thrown out of court unless they intend to lie. It wouldn't be nearly the first time. She and the dead FBI agent previously claimed that their informant gave them a dying declaration. They told a judge this to get a subpoena when the judge balked about the lack of evidence.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

True indeed. I'm just thinking that the prints would or at least should have already been taking. It makes me suspicious of whether Angie was the one to reveal the truth. I know that's the way it was made to seem for cliffhanger purposes but I suspect it's more to this story that will be revealed early next season.

Garris,

You're right and it's this exact type of non sense that will eventually drive the day-one fans away from the show.

They need to ditch the ex-soap opera writers who joined the writing staff.

I told think they actually checked the window. They made the comment unless the person came through an unlocked window Greg let them. They didn't do good police work to begin with.
