how embarrassing that this is the only NZ drama currently on TV

The concept automatically rules out any straight man from being overly interested in watching it. I did give it a go and it's just really flat.

NZ had a good period with Outrageous Fortune, TAJ, this is not my life, even the Blue Rose had it's moments. But if this is the sort of show they are going to keep making, I won't be watching any more local dramas.

Fortunately, Westside was surprisingly good and will have a second season next year.

That was pretty good.

Well it's not a New Zealand show, though I assume some of it was filmed in NZ. Doesn't overly interest me, but I might give it a go in the summer break coming up.

It was done by South Pacific Pictures, so it's an NZ show.

Filmed mostly in NZ (only a little bit filmed in Sydney) and a lot of the cast is NZ.

Anyway....nice mix of comedy and drama I thought.

Interesting...it definitely has not been promoted as a kiwi show which is quite weird.

Did you try Season 1? It was much better than Season 2. Season 2 is full on chick show, but season 1 was actually pretty good.

Currently on TV, or currently being made? Brokenwood Mysteries is another NZ drama that's still being made.
