Slightly overrated but enjoyable (spoilers)

My favourite thing about this film was how Greta Gerwig, DP Yorick Le Saux and costume designer Jacqueline Durran used paintings from the era to create texture and depth for different scenes. I also thought that Chris Cooper's performance was very understated and touching.

Conversely, I found the rest of the actors a little jarring due to the mix of performance styles and the age range of the characters. I was surprised that Florence Pugh received an Academy Award nomination - her performance as Amy March (during her pre-teens before moving to France) was distracting.
