time to make movie adaptations of other novels

I use to like the Little Men TV series in the 90's. How about making a movie about that, or some of her other novels. Good grief how many versions of LW are they going to make?

Imagine wanting a Little Men movie in this climate, it would be written and directed by a feminist woman and no white men would be in lead roles.

reply

I would hope a movie could be made of any book of hers regardless.

reply

Or no just plain men, it would be bi gendered. OR gay.

reply

It would probably be progressive, but I sure created in the traditional sense as well. I can see racial minority groups doing their own version as well. I liked the TV series Little Men back in the day.

Since I loved the movies Knives out and I did enjoy very Murder on the orient express( The Johnny Deep Version) I’d like to see more Agatha Cristy adaptations.

Knives out is not an adaptation of any book but it’s clearly sort of inspired by Murder on the Orient Express.

So yeah I’d like more Agatha Kristy books being adapted and now that I think so I’d like to see a more comercial friendly adaptation of wuthering Heights.
Something made clearly for the big screen with big actors, so it will sell good and people go see it.

Agreed. Or tell original stories. Greta Gerwig proved she can write a good movie with Lady Bird. Do more of that rather than yet another version of something we've seen a dozen times. Leave directing this kind of thing to people who are unable to write their own.

This version looked great, but was really unnecessary.

I feel the same about Anne of Green Gables. The movie has been done ad naseum. Why not focus of Anne and Gilbert's family? I read a great novel about Marilla's youth. It came out in 2018. The book would make an interesting film. Maybe do movies on other LMM novels. How about an updated version of Heidi or Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm? The last one I saw was in the 80's.

Yep, good ideas
