Don Mancini is a good writer, but he sucks as a director

Don Mancini has good writing skills, but his directing skills suck. The first 4 films worked better because the directors kept it simple and fun. Don is trying to explore LGBT themes, instead of focusing on straightforward horror. Seed didn't work because it ignored 90% of its Lore and tried to be like some Ed Wood film, Cult was a disappointment because the asylum setting was boring and the characters were very flat (except for Nica) and they ruined Andy Barclay. Seriously, I was so happy to see him return at the end of Curse. I was so worried that I'd never get to see him again and we thought he went to jail, at the end of 3, after being framed for Chucky's murders. They almost rebooted the series, for crying out loud. Had that had happened. We would've never knew the fate of Andy.
