So much time after....

and we still have this propaganda docs depicting americans as heros and saviors, and communists as maniqueistic demons, killers, torturers and heartless.

And it's nominated for the oscar. They always are.

Still waiting for an american doc unbiased, more impartial, less maniqueistic and honest to history.

Other than that, it's a very informative doc with very nice footages, so it deserves a 6.

Yeah, this kind of stuff always gets nominated for Oscars, and BAFTA's and so on. Really any doc about wars no matter how it's made always get picked. The movie industry around the world just LOVES war subjects. Don't get me wrong, I think war docs are EXTREMELY important, and I'm usually a fan of them. But they should be done honestly and not so one-sided like they are ALL THE TIME. So you're right, it's usually the ones that are quite biased that get all of the "love".

I don't know what planet you guys live on but I can't remember ever seeing a war "documentary" that did anything BUT portray the American military in a highly negative light, all the while excusing liberal/Democrat leaders that either started and/or backed the conflicts.

WWI - Wilson (Democrat)

WWII - Roosevelt (Democrat)

Korea - Truman (Democrat)

Vietnam - Kennedy/Johnson (Democrats)

Serbia/Bosnia - Clinton (Democrat)

It's not until the Gulf conflicts of the past 20 did Republicans advocate for military intervention on a large scale.

But I guess all that is an "Inconvenient Truth"...

I agree. US propaganda as usual. Here they come to save the day. I'd like to see a documentary based on the book "Kill anything that moves" by Nick Turse so people would get a view of the real Vetnam War.
