I really liked it. If you let your imagination go, and are not expecting a kaleidoscope of brilliance at every turn, you will be more than satisfied. Visually, very well done and the stories, the way they are presented, are not mainstream or overly done. Not a child's movie either. 7.5/10, with maybe an inkling of a dash of generosity on my part.

Yeap, awesome movie, brilliant cinematography, music, acting also, had a great time watching it, will recommend to anybody.

i knew just from reading the description that this film would be right up my street. i haven't finished watching it yet but i love this kind of thing. it's like an adult princess bride
i was having a hard time following the story so decided to wait and watch again from the start. but i was thoroughly immersed in the movie world up until then.
stylistically it's flawless and the acting is all good, i'm not a giant fan of penelope but everyone else is great.

Frankly, I can't figure why such a low score? Normally, IMDB tends to inflate the score of a good deal of trash, but this has been exactly the opposite with the film - for me, everything just clicked in a very fine way. Exceptional cinema cinematography and movie-making at its best. A brilliant film! Can't really understand the low ratings on this one - very unfair.

Are you getting her name wrong on purpose? Maybe its a case of all latin people look the same to you. This is IMDB right, so considering you are already on the forum for this film why not get the name right? Especially after others question how you manage to get this wrong you got it wrong .. again. ITs literally a title click away.

Great acting, story, costumes, even CGI was good. This is how excellent movies are made, it's such a shame the IMDB rating is so low, this is the zenith of film making. 10/10

I don't have huge expectations from movies with 6.5 ratings but this was pleasantly surprising.

i can. this film was very pretty to look at, but it was over long, the plots were slightly underdeveloped - i'm thinking particularly of the two sisters story and the ending was a bit vague. there are better adult fairy/folk tales out there, for example "pans labrynth" and "the fall".
