Violet and the Ogre
Which of the three stories was the best and why? (I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning to Violet and the Ogre as it was most shocking and had a lot of build up; the beginning of the twins was good but I felt it began to lose steam.)
I loved the entire film from beginning to end, and it's my favorite film of the year (based on US release date). If I had to pick I'd probably say The King and His Flea/Violet and The Ogre because it really was one long story, and I love the fact that it started out as a very funny, albeit slightly creepy, comedy and morphed into a suspenseful horror story.

Violet and the Ogre might be my favourite story, however I loved all the film. It really captured the atmosphere of Italian folk fairytales perfectly.
sharei would go for violet and the ogre; it was the most satisfying; the actors had a bit more to do and had to show more range. i was not expecting the princess to slit the ogre's throat. that was pleasantly subversive.
