shareI saw that it was renewed a couple days ago and my jaw dropped. This show pulls in worse ratings than Deon Cole's show did and for some reason they aren't canning it. I am not a fan of Deon Cole but I think he is funnier than Pete Holmes by miles. Pete Holmes seems like the one of the most obnoxious guys ever. He is the guy at the party that nobody wants to speak to but he continues to badger people and follow them around. His show seems like a high school film student's final project. I could sit around for 15 minutes and talk about random *beep* while I throw in laughs after every sentence. The audiences seems like they are pity laughing. I was hoping they were going to cancel this show. I guess the burn will just hurt twice as bad when he finally gets canned after this next 13 weeks. I highly doubt his show will make it through those 13 weeks.
shareEven if the ratings are bad, Conan doesn't want this show to be over so soon. John Mulaney also has a new show under Conan so we'll see how that goes but hopefully it will have better writers than The Pete Holmes Show (although I like Pete Holmes himself)
